2025 STN EXPO Scholarship

School Transportation News is giving away 7 scholarships to the STN EXPO Reno Conference and Trade Show in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day!

Are you looking for leadership training and executive professional development opportunities? This scholarship provides 7 transportation professionals the chance to attend the 2025 STN EXPO RENO Conference and Trade Show as well as the Transportation Director Summit in RENO, NV on July 11 – 12, for free!

In order to be considered, the following is required:

1) Applicant is a transportation director, assistant director, transportation supervisor or private fleet executive
2) Must be able to attend the Transportation Director Summit on July 11 – 12, 2025.
3) Complete the Information form below
4) Describe why you should be considered for this scholarship. (For example, how will attending this event impact your professional development goals and desired outcomes? How will attending this event impact student transportation in your district and beyond?)

Scholarship winners will receive one complimentary full main conference registration to STN EXPO Reno. Please note winners are still responsible for booking his or her hotel and travel accommodations.

Deadline to submit is Monday, March 17, 2025.

New this year, one student transportation professional from a school district or school bus contractor will be awarded a continuing education scholarship to attend the 2025 STN EXPO West in Reno, Nevada, held July 11-16.

 

The scholarship is named after Dick Fischer, the “father” of School Bus Safety Week and the 2024 STN Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. For nearly eight decades, he has dedicated himself to school bus safety as a school bus driver, transportation director, safety director, and trainer.

 

Applicants must be nominated by a peer or supervisor to be considered. Nominations will be judged by how the applicant specifically defines and teaches the safety culture in their transportation operation, with specific examples provided. How would the applicant and their operation benefit from attending the STN EXPO?

 

Preference will be given to professionals seeking to attend STN EXPO for the first time.

 

The deadline for submissions is March 28.
