Green Bus Fleet Awards Reception

On Sunday during the Green Bus Summit at STN EXPO Reno, School Transportation News Publisher Tony Corpin will announce five fleets that stood out for their goal to reduce emissions.

Four school districts and two national school bus contractors will be honored for their adoption of alternative fuel and energy. STN will chose the recipients in affiliation with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a part of the U.S. Department of Energy, based on nominations submitted this spring. The fleets will be judged based on emissions reductions realized, impact on the local community, measured student and driver health improvements, and the commitment to purchasing green buses going forward. Drinks and appetizers with be served. 

Green Bus Ride & Drive

Sunday, July 14 | 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.

The Green Bus Summit Immersive Ride & Drive Experience at STN EXPO in Reno on July 14, 2024, is a special outdoor event showcasing the latest advancements in green school buses and transportation solutions. School bus OEMs such as Blue Bird, IC Bus, RIDE, and GreenPower participated alongside influential organizations like The Propane Education Council and innovative private fleet operators like ZUM Services.

Attendees were treated to a hands-on experience with a wide range of green buses, including electric, propane, and other alternative fuel vehicles. The event offers a unique opportunity for school transportation professionals to test drive the latest models, learn about their features, and discuss the future of sustainable transportation in the school bus industry.

With a focus on environmental sustainability and efficiency, the Green Bus Summit provided valuable insights into the benefits of transitioning to cleaner, greener transportation options. 

Trade Show (Day 1) + Networking Extravaganza (Casino Royale)

Monday, July 15 | 5 P.M. – 9 P.M.

This special themed networking event enables attendees and exhibitors to mingle and discuss products and services in a fun and engaging setting, featuring food and drink stations spread out on the trade show floor. Over 1,000 school transportation professionals will attend the STN EXPO Trade Show, including manufacturers, OEMs and suppliers offering new and existing products, solutions and services that help transporters perform their jobs better and more efficiently. These exhibiting companies will connect with professionals who transport children of all ages, sizes and distinctions, and who prepare specifications for products and services, make final decisions on purchases, and are responsible for recommending purchases.
